Steve Hancock FICA Dip (AML)
Steve is a highly regarded co-founder and director of AML Analytics, known for his expertise in UK anti-money laundering and counter terrorist financing. With a career spanning since 1988 in the financial services industry, he played pivotal roles, including director of regulatory and financial crime programmes at Wolters Kluwer Financial Services and global head of money laundering prevention at Prudential plc. Steve's responsibilities at Prudential spanned 15 years across various locations, including the UK, USA, Hong Kong, and Singapore. Notably, he contributed to the development and delivery of corporate money laundering policies and provided guidance on AML/CTF prevention. Steve also had secondments to NCIS and the UK National Terrorist Financial Investigation Unit.
In 2001, he founded the UK Institute of Money Laundering Prevention Officers, where he served as chairman for seven years and later as President until 2012. Steve holds an ICA Diploma in Anti-Money Laundering with distinction and is a Fellow of the International Compliance Association. A seasoned speaker on financial crime, he has lectured at conferences across the UK, Western and Eastern Europe, Asia, Australia, and the USA.

Wayne Walsh
Wayne Walsh SC (State Counsel) is currently a barrister and head of chambers at Parkside Chambers, Hong Kong, having spent his entire career specialising in financial crime and compliance, civil fraud, and asset recovery. Wayne also has extensive experience in public international law cases involving cross-border litigation.
A significantly substantial portion of Wayne’s career has been spent as crown and government counsel for the Hong Kong Department of Justice, spending a great deal of time specialising in international cooperation and negotiation of bilateral treaties, as well as being a standing member of the Hong Kong delegation to the Financial Action Task Force (FATF) for 25 years. As a result of this work, he participated as an assessor in FATF mutual evaluations including Ireland, the United Kingdom and Australia, and in 2012 he co-led the last major revision of the FATF Recommendations as chair of a FATF Working Group. Wayne has kindly used all of his experience and expertise he has gained throughout his illustrious career to validate the content within this course.
